Where Myles Has been
Myles made the seamless transition from athlete to PhD researcher and Certified Mental Performance Consultant. Myles played soccer at the NCAA Division I level, professionally in the United States and in short stints in Europe with West Ham United’s Academy in England and La Nucia in Spain, won a National Championship at the ODP level in 2010 with Team Georgia, and played youth soccer with the renowned Darlington Soccer Academy. No stranger to the spotlight, Myles has helped athletes and other high performing individuals like artists, authors, executives, and emergency responders master their minds to be able to deliver their best performances. In addition, he has written articles for mental performance websites and spoken in front of large teams and organizations to help facilitate growth, both in and out of competition.
On the academic side, Myles completed his master’s degree at the University of Kentucky while working with the Kentucky men’s basketball program and studying sport injury under Dr. Marc Cormier. He completed his thesis research while also consulting with several athletic teams and giving presentations to coaches and business professionals. Following completion of his master’s degree, he was accepted to the renowned Florida State University sport psychology doctoral program to pursue his PhD where he also completed the requirements for and acquired his Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) certification. Myles obtained his PhD in sport psychology while studying under the tutelage of Dr. Robert Eklund. In addition, he is consulting with several elite athletic teams and athletes, spanning from youth to professional.
